Shannon's IRONMAN Journey
Welcome to the Road to Kona, where I'll be sharing my journey as I train for the IRONMAN World Championship. I'm dedicating the race and my journey to Mike, my late husband, whom I lost to pancreatic cancer in 2019. Since then, I have found purpose in creating awareness of pancreatic cancer and Sky Foundation, a nonprofit that supports people impacted by the disease.
As I push my body to the limit, I hope to inspire others to find their purpose and never give up on that purpose, no matter how difficult the road may seem. Join me as I embark on this grueling journey, one step at a time.
Why I Started ShannonCrone.com
Journeying to the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii is no small feat. For me, it's not just about the race but about the transformative path that led me to this pinnacle of endurance sports. From the first splash in the pool to the final stretch on the Big Island, every mile has been a lesson in persistence, resilience, and self-discovery.
My blog on shannoncrone.com chronicles this captivating voyage, detailing each sweat-drenched training session and the invaluable insights gleaned along the way. Join me in this video as I dive deep into my adventure, sharing the trials, tribulations, and the overwhelming joy of my IRONMAN journey. But this journey is bigger than just me; it's also a drive to make a difference.
I'm proudly raising funds for the Sky Foundation, a remarkable non-profit dedicated to promoting research and raising awareness for pancreatic cancer. Every step I take towards Kona is also a step closer to a world where pancreatic cancer is no longer a silent threat. Join me in making an impact; together, we can race towards a cure.
